MARA WOHNHAAS

MARA WOHNHAAS (born 1997 in Karlsruhe, Germany) currently lives and works in Dusseldorf.
Since 2018, she has been studying at Kunstakademie Dusseldorf in class of Prof. Rita McBride and Koenraad Dedobbeleer and received a scholarship from Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes, Bonn in 2021. In 2014 and 2015, Mara Wohnhaas was a scholar in the Masterclass of ZKM, Karlsruhe. Her first solo exhibition titled Rekommandeur took place in August 2021 at BQ in Berlin. Recent group and solo exhibitions include CAPC in Bordeaux (2022), MAH in Geneva (2023) and Hamlet in Zurich (2023). The young artist’s practice is a cross-over of different media and includes spatial installations, performative readings, filmic and photographic works as well as sculptures.
