The work of the young British painter Seth Pick takes a romantic view of things.
In his pictures, delicate, fragile beings often appear, who wander dreamy through the landscape or stay in indeterminable locations. The figures visibly form from the material of colour, so that the revealing of their development process can be seen as an integral part of the work. Pick’s works often show a tendency toward abstraction, which to varying extents causes the pictorial motifs to become blurred, only increasing their fascinating effect.
